Does God Mind Laziness?

Anonymous

Yes He does. We were created to learn and to do what He considers to be good works (Ephesians 2:8–9; Titus 2:11-15). We are told to exercise diligence, (2 Peter 1:3–11). Whatever we do we should do it with all our might to honor and glorify God (Ecclesiastes 9:10; 1 Corinthians 10:31; Colossians 3:23–27). Remember, Messiah’s Kingdom Parable of the Talents, (Matthew 25:14–30). God will judge us according to how well we used the gifts, the blessings, the talents, the abilities, and the capacities that we were given. What good did we produce with those things that God provided us to use? We will be judged by that.

Ephesians 5:15–17

Proverbs 6:9–12

To be lazy is to WASTE your potential. It is to WASTE your time, your talent, your resources and your abilities. It is choosing to waste those and throw those away, when you could have used them to accomplish much good with them.
