Have you ever wondered how it is that some modern and postmodern, “Christians,” can completely accept very ungodly ideas into their thoughts, words, deeds, and their lifestyles, while they still think themselves to be believers and followers of the Messiah?
Have you ever wondered how it is that a supposed Christian can support such wicked ideas and practices, such as abortion, Crislam, Gay “marriage,” and even incest among many other abominable things?
One key reason for it, is because we allow the sinful world and modern culture to CHANGE the DEFINITIONS of key terms and concepts into what people prefer, instead of remaining true to how YHWH Almighty has already defined those critical terms.
As a result, these modern and postmodern “Christians” use the SAME theological key words and terminology that any true Biblical believer uses; they still use words like love, faith, grace, truth, hope, mercy, compassion, salvation, and the like; BUT their DEFINITIONS, understanding, and application of those critical words have become extremely DIFFERENT, (sometimes even 180° opposite), of what YHWH and Scripture teaches those terms to mean.
This is how you get some modern and postmodern, “Christians,” to believe that incest, or Chrislam, among other abominations, is supposedly okay, just as long as the people are, “Loving,” to one another.
That sounds good to a politically correct brainwashed population. It sounds nice, benevolent, tolerant and accepting on the surface; but in order to reach such a misguided conclusion, one has to completely REJECT YHWH’s Biblical definition of what love is, and accept a totally counterfeit definition of what love means, in order to make such wickedness, appear to be Godly or Christian in your own mind.
Once the culture accepts a counterfeit definition of any key terms like love, then anyone who stands firm for the true Biblical definition of what love truly means, will now APPEAR to be intolerant and unloving, in the eyes of many; because they are using a different internal dictionary for the same critical key word. That’s how people fall into the trap of calling evil, that which is truly good, and calling good what is truly evil, in the eyes of YHWH, (Isaiah 5:20-24).
We must keep the record straight. It’s NOT really loving, unless YHWH SAYS that it is, because YHWH IS Love. Please think about it. Shalom. – RML
Believe It or Not, This Post Received Objections
To my shock and dismay, this post actually received objections from a, “Believer,” and they TWISTED Scripture, to make their arguments SOUND plausible. Her arguments were easily dismantled by rightly divided Scripture of course, but the fact is that while this concept should be easily understood by all believers, it obviously isn’t. That’s why it needs to be said.
Let’s face it, if we as believers cannot agree that we need to hold fast and stay true to the way that YHWH defines critical concepts, (such as Love etc.) in His Word, then it is no wonder why our sinful nature, the sinful world and the devil is running roughshod over our nation, and corrupting everything. The concept is incredibly simple:
Since YHWH Almighty is the Creator and will be the Judge of all things, then in order to be truly found righteous before the Almighty Judge, we must define all critical concepts; such as love, faith, truth, grace, compassion and, salvation and the like; we must defined those things in the SAME way that YHWH defines them in His Word. Otherwise, we will deceive ourselves into thinking that we are being Loving, compassionate, grace filled, or truthful, when in reality we are not truly being those things.
I will not embarrass this person by mentioning the name, but here’s a sample of some of her objections:
Objector: “ Love keeps no record of wrongs. -1 Cor. 13:5 “
By the context of other things that she said, it seems that she believes that pointing out wrong beliefs, wrong ideas and wrong behaviors is a violation of this verse. The problem is that the Biblical Context, and the Weight of Biblical Evidence, does NOT even remotely agree with the way that she seems to be interpreting that verse.
In the biblical context, not keeping a record of wrongs as described in 1 Corinthians 13:5 refers to being forgiving, and not holding a grudge against someone who is trying to repent and do right. 1 Corinthians 13:5 DOES NOT teach that we shouldn’t point out wrongs to bring people to repentance. All we have to do is go one verse lower, and it easily refutes her argument:
As it is written: [Love] does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth;” (1 Corinthians 13:6, NKJV)
Throughout all of Scripture, iniquity ALWAYS refers in the context to BREAKING, or LIVING OUTSIDE of YHWH’s Laws Commandments and Instructions. So by biblical definition, IF we REJOICE in BREAKING, or LIVING OUTSIDE of YHWH’s Laws Commandments and Instructions, then we are rejoicing in iniquity, and we are NOT practicing LOVE according to 1 Corinthians 13:6.
In order to walk in love we must NOT rejoice in what YHWH defines to be iniquity, (we must NOT rejoice in breaking YHWH’s Laws and Commandments). However, according to Paul in the New Testament, not rejoicing in iniquity, is only HALF of the equation. In order to be authentically walking in love, we must also rejoice IN the TRUTH.
If you look throughout Scripture where you see the biblical definition of what truth is; wherever you see the phrase… Is truth, or truth is… Truth is always referred to by YHWH’s Word, His Torah, His Laws, His Commandments, and His Instructions:
Here is the simple reality. If we refuse to REJOICE in the Torah of YHWH; if we REFUSE to REJOICE in YHWH’s Laws, Commandments and, His Instructions, then we are NOT rejoicing in the TRUTH, and if we are NOT rejoicing in what the BIBLE already defines to be the TRUTH, then we are NOT being LOVING, even by New Testament Standards. It’s that simple.
This is a reality that sticks me to my core. It drives me to my knees in prayer for modern and postmodern Christians, more than any other realization; and that is this:
Without realizing or truly understanding it, the vast majority of modern and postmodern Christians today are being taught to HATE, to DESPISE and to BELITTLE the very SAME Torah that Jesus, (Yashua the Messiah) completely LOVED and DELIGHTED in, when He was here.
Messiah LOVED and DELIGHTED in DOING His Father’s Commandments, when He was here.
As it is written: “If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love.” (John 15:10, NKJV)
As it is written: “For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me.” (John 6:38, NKJV)
As it is written: “For I have not spoken on My own authority; but the Father who sent Me gave Me a command, what I should say and what I should speak. And I know that His command is everlasting life. Therefore, whatever I speak, just as the Father has told Me, so I speak.”” (John 12:49–50, NKJV)
Now we know from Scripture that Messiah was with YHWH in the beginning, (John 1:1). Therefore, since Messiah was with Yahweh from the beginning. We also know that Yahweh and Messiah are ONE, (John 10:29-30). That means that Messiah was ONE with YHWH at Mount Sinai, when the Commandments were handed down. Which means the pre-incarnate Messiah is ONE with the Father, and that He COMPLETELY AGREED with the Commandments that were given at Mount Sinai.
Moreover we also know that Yahshua the Messiah, NEVER changes; He is the SAME, yesterday, today and, FOREVER! (Hebrews 13:8).
Messiah was ONE with the Father since the beginning.
Messiah was ONE with the Father when the Torah was given at Mount Sinai.
Messiah PROVED that he LOVED the Father’s Laws and Commandments by DOING them CORRECTLY when He was here.
Since Messiah NEVER changes but He is the SAME yesterday, today, and FOREVER, then He will LOVE the SAME Law; He will LOVE the SAME Commandments, in the SAME Way that He did when He was here, because He is the SAME yesterday, today, and forever, (Hebrews 13:8). There is no getting around that legitimately, Biblically.
The implications are STAGGERING; because that means that Messiah will LOVE the SAME Laws and Commandments of His Father; He will LOVE those SAME Commandments on the future Day of Judgment; which He has faithfully LOVED, and KEPT in the past, when He was here.
Objectors: “Rejoice in the torah, but avoid contending and strivings
about the law, to avoid sinning and condemning self.
Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us,
But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain.
A man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition reject;
Knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned of himself.”
My Earnest Reply: Titus 3:5-11 clearly refers to not getting involved in MEANINGLESS controversies over genealogies and other DEBATABLE or unclear issues in Torah; (e.g. how to pronounce the Sacred Name, or flat earth; or the lunar Sabbath; or do you fast on Yom Kippur or not etc); such things as these are NOT entirely clear in Scripture, and they ARE open to interpretation; which means we should NOT argue and be divisive over such things as these.
However, there are some OTHER things which are abundantly CLEAR and ABSOLUTE in Scripture, and any authentic believer MUST UPHOLD YHWH’s Standards, when He clearly speaks definitively on any subject. That is NOT being unloving or judgmental, that is merely AGREEING with the judgment that the Almighty Judge, has ALREADY handed down. To do anything less than to speak according to YHWH’s Judgments on issues such as these, would be to show utter CONTEMPT for the Almighty Judge’s Court.
There are at least 59 things in Scripture which are CLEARLY spelled out to be ABOMINATIONS according to YHWH. Those who practice such ABOMINATIONS without repenting and turning away from abominations, will be CONDEMNED; according to Scripture; (Revelation 21:7-8). There is literally NO DEBATE on those issues. No supposed Christians or believer in YHWH can rightly support or endorse behavior that Scripture already defines to be an abomination, and retain any genuine hope of remaining in the Eternal Kingdom of YHWH and Messiah, (Matthew 7:21-23; Matthew 13:41-42; Matthew 24:12-13; John 8:34-35; James 4:4; 1 John 2:15-17; Rev. 21:8).
If we TRULY Love people as we are supposed to, then we CANNOT and WILL NOT allow them to continue UNCHALLENGED in committing lawless and abominable behaviors, which Scripture CLEARLY says will cause them to be CONDEMNED, out of YHWH and Messiah’s Eternal Presence. It’s that simple.
How can we truthfully say that we LOVE someone, and let them go unchallenged and unopposed in behavior that YHWH and Messiah already says will be condemned?!
As righteous people who love Yahweh, who love Messiah and who truly love other people, we MUST speak out AGAINST what Yahweh calls wickedness, and we MUST NOT call those things good, (Isaiah 5:20-24).
If we do not try to dissuade people from what Yahweh clearly says is wicked, then those people will perish for their sins, but Yahweh will hold US guilty for their blood, if we remained silent, and we did not love them enough to speak out according to Yahweh’s Decrees, so that they might repent, and they could be saved, (Ezekiel 33:8-9).
As believers who love Yahweh and who love other people, we have NO other legitimate choice but to speak out and uphold YHWH’s Standards in all such matters.
Thank you for your kind attention. Shalom.
